A Piece of Peace

What is Peace
Once Upon A Time, there was a man. He pondered and searched about what Peace was all about. He dedicated his whole life to finding the exact meaning of it. In his search for his answer, he decided to host a competition. He invited “Anyone who has a picture of what true peace is”, to submit their pictorial and the reward was to be all that He owned.
Hundreds of drawings, paintings and photographs started pouring in.
If one were to describe the majority of those entries, they would have captured a beautiful portfolio of Mother Nature in all her stillness and glory. But No… still it did not capture the peace the man was looking for.
Many years later, the man received a final entry for the competition. It was a scenario painted of a fierce stormy sky, with turbulent waters, a mountain cliff with a ledge. In the nook of that ledge sat a bird’s nest. There in the midst of the strong wind & stormy weather, a mother bird was feeding her young, their beaks wide open… all crying for food.
That was It. It was the Peace the man was looking for. Why?
Peace is found when you are able to shut out the rest of the turbulence in your surrounding, and not let it get to you by focusing on your destination.

Finding Peace amidst the Battle of your Mind
What you allow to be put in your mind will be what we will believe and in turn reflects our behavior. Indeed, thoughts shape our lives. Whatever a man thinks, so is he. Whatever we think of ourselves, we perform unto it. But more often than not, it’s hard to think too kindly of ourselves at times when we goofed up or seem proficiently inapt at doing something… Try picture an eight legged octopus trying to balance on a thin beam of tight rope and there you have it.
Common fess up… Heh… don’t tell me you have never chided yourself? Things like, “Argh... I’m such an idiot!”….
Surely it sounds somewhat familiar? Heh… Or I’m just the only self degrading person on this microscopic earth… *Grinz* Bummer…

Well whatever it is, the good news is, Ladies and Gentlemen… dear friends and all… There is a Solution to conquer your-self or yourselves (If you know what I mean)! Sure…. Some of you might be thinking.. “Hmm.. man, now what kind of mumbo jumbo preaching will stephie write today?” Well pardon me but its called sharing the Joy… okay? Heh… Okay Ready Go…..

Phase One:
Put Hope into Your Heart, Speak Faith into yourself. So that you will believe it can happen. In another words, it’ also psyching your mind to tie in with your spirit and whole being. Of course we are NOT talking about taking this out of context by placing it in a ludicrous situation like “I believe I can earn 10 million dollars by the end of this week…”. Well… I’m not putting you guys down la, but seriously you know what I mean right? Yeah….

Phase Two:
Saturate your minds with the correct things in order to be what you want to be. For your body; the catch phrase- “You are what you Eat” applies. Same goes for the mind. “You are what you Think.” So decide today to throw out those Garbage that you do not want in your life. Ready for the new year…. It’s coming in case you guys didn’t notice… Heh.

Phase Three:
Practice the above. Fret not when things get a little roughed up & tough Cos if it doesn’t happen and life is all that smooth sailing, how then will you identify & authenticate Peace when you do not know its adversary? Chew on it.

Oh and guys… having God’s help in your life is so much easier. Did a litmus test on it already… Heh. May God’s peace that transcends all understanding be with you.

Philippians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
