The Best Present for Christmas

The best present for Christmas for me this year, was not something tangible in sight. But it was felt in my heart, & in my spirit & mind.
Celebrated Christmas with much Joy in my heart as somehow after i came back from Cambodia, i begin to appreciate the things around me more, not only that, i begin to become more alive, seeking new things to do... seeking directions from God on my career. Seriously contemplating having a full job change but nothing concrete yet... I know what i want in a job. Lets just say that im looking for a job that i'm able to serve, contribute meaningfully, add value to other people's life & pour more of myself into. Not that im not contributing meaningfully or anything in my current job now, its just that im looking for more. Something beyond the material needs & superficialness of the service business industry, something that can satisfy my emotional, spiritual well being... not forgetting my financial well being as well la.. heh. Cos planning long term, if i intend to go for more missions overseas, i need the mula power too.
My parents are supportive of me on this... they even agreed to me going back to studying, or doing courses, taking subjects like pyschology, so i can go into the field of counselling in the future even.. im quite keen on this... but still thinking through & waiting upon the lord to tell me what he wants for my life... yeah.

Just wanna leave today's bloggie with this quote from someone named Mr. Eknath Easwarin:
" Try to lead a simple life.. today... & everyday. To lead a SIMPLE LIFE in reasonable comfort, with a minimum of possessions, ranks high among the arts of living. It leaves us the time, resources & freedom of mind we need for the things that gives life value: Loving, Helping, Serving & Giving. "

How true... how true. Less is sometimes More.

Merry Christmas my dear friends! May you share in my Joy this Christmas season... May you have a wonderful life, that many good things will happen, as you add more Joy to your life by choosing first to add Joy to other people's lives. Yeah... that's the way the round robin go. *grin*

Love & Hugs,
Stephie
